      George Henry Stonesifer Jr. died March 9 in Nashville, Tenn. He was 72.
      Mr. Stonesifer, who was born and raised in Oella, was the son of the late George and Virginia Stonesifer.
      The U.S. Army veteran had been employed as a developer of dry mixes by a food company formerly known as DCA.
      He had also been employed by other food companies.
      Mr. Stonesifer started his own business, G & N Sales/Consulting in Mount Juliet, Tenn.
      Mr. Stonesifer had been an active member of Green Hill Baptist Church in Mount Juliet, Tenn.
      He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nina D. Stonesifer; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Jeff Stone of Rockford, Ill.; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Cindy Stonesifer of Meridan, Conn., Kevin and Pat Stonesifer of Chestnut Mound, Tenn., and David Stonesifer of Arlington Heights, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
      He was predeceased by his sister, Loraine Jestes, and a great-granddaughter.
      A funeral service was held March 12 at Green Hill Baptist Church, and burial took place at Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Tennessee.
      Memorial contributions may be made to the Dan Ruby Cancer Center, Attn: Beth Higham, St. Thomas Hospital, P.O. Box 320, Nashville, TN 37202.
