Rudolph Genealogy Research Timeline
Genealogy Events for
Rudolphs in the 1700s and early 1800s, primarily but not exclusively focused on
Southeastern Pennsylvania
My known Rudolph ancestors resided in Southeastern Pennsylvania in the 1700s. In researching these ancestors, I have accumulated a repository of genealogy information on many of the Rudolphs, Rudulphs, Rudolfs, etc., of that time and place. This page attempts to share that repository with other Rudolph researchers. This page is meant only as a finding-aid for other researchers. Most items listed here are not original records nor primary sources and should not be relied upon. They are presented here merely to save other researchers time or give clues for finding their own information. Hope you find something helpful here.

STRAYED
from Robert LewisMill, on the Head of Sassafras, in Maryland, on the 26th of
Fourth Month 1758, a Chestnut coloured Horse, 5 or 6 Years old, about 13
Hands and a Half high, and inn good Order, a switch Tail and hanging Mane,
trimmed between his Ears and Part of his neck, branded it is thought on the near
Shoulder with the Letter T, but as he has very long Hair, the Letter is
scarce perceivable in the Fall, or Winter, he is supposed to have white Hairs
in his Face; is not fully broke, being very wild and bad to catch, and is a
great Jumper; he was supposed to be seen going towards the Head of Elk River
or Nottingham; and as he was brought by Lancaster, is supposed to be gone
that Way. Whoever brings said Horse either to Robert Lewis, junior, at said
Mills, or Richard Thomson, Ranger, in Cecil County, or Tobias Rudolph, at the Head of Elk, shall have Twenty Shillings
Reward, and reasonable Charges paid by either of them. And as it is not
unlikely but that he may be entered with some of the County or Deputy
Rangers, it is hoped they will be so kind as to acquaint some of the above
Persons or Robert Lewis, of Philadelphia, who will send for him,. and pay the Cost. |
